Wow! This week went quickly! I didn't even think about blogging until today.
Tomorrow is Games Day in grade one as our class raised $659.00 in jump rope! Well done! We had a popcorn and movie before the break for raising over $500.
Firstly, the Family Collages are amazing! Thank you for your hard work! I know it is a lot of work but the students are sooooo proud of them! I hope you will all have a chance to see the collages. They are up in the hallway and will be displayed until early June. How blessed you all are with great families! I hope this project gave you a chance to talk about family traditions, how people are related and the fun times you have together.
Secondly, we are getting practiced up for Oratory. This year is a bit different as we will have a class competition first and then 3 students will go on from each grade to the inter-school competition. Our whole class will participate with the class choral. Try to practice often with your child on both the class poem and his or her individual poem. We don't practice the individual poems very often at school.
Thirdly, thanks for being so prompt with the field trip money. A note; pre-schoolers can not attend the Ag Education days. This was made clear to us by the Exhibition staff. There are too many animals around. However, your pre-schoolers can join us for lunch and bowling.
Finally, Spelling unit words! I have noticed that there is less studying happening so try to make sure you look at the words several times over the weekend. The words are always printed in the agenda.
