A beautiful autumn weekend! I hope you got a chance to get outside and enjoy it! It was so beautiful I had no excuse and washed my windows!!!!
Terry Fox Walk is on Friday. Please make sure your child has outdoor running shoes that day (no Crocs, flip flops or cowby boots, please). Also a warm jacket. We will be selling hot dogs for lunch at $1.00. Please note in agenda if your child brings money for hot dogs.
One final week with the Book bags and then we will begin the Home Reading Program next Monday. Please make sure to have the Book Bags back for Monday, October 1.
A reminder to note in agendas if your child is going anywhere else beside home. This includes babysitters, Canskate, a friend's house, etc. Thank you!
Apple words test will be Friday afternoon. I will test students on either the 1st ten words or 20 words depending on the level they have achieved.
Our goal is to know all the apple words before the end of October so remember to practise!
Also, a reminder that school begins at 9:00. When your child is frequently late, he or she misses important phonics lessons. Of course, occasionally lates happen but try to keep them to a minimum. Missed work needs to be finished at recess and the students' don't like that very much!
